As a family run business we’re right there with many of you in juggling work and home schooling challenges. We often worry how we can cope as parents with the demands of life right now, but we mustn’t forget the little ones. Whilst we’re able to turn to friends to let off some steam, zoom with a glass of wine and share ‘what’s the worst thing that happened to you this week’, comparisons which may make us howl with laughter and feel somewhat better, our kids social environment may not offer quite the same sense of relief.
We have recently turned our attention to playing board games, especially trying to make time on a Sunday, and have enjoyed the North & West Norfolk special edition Monopoly. It’s a great family game anyway (if not slightly competitive from our youngest entrepreneur!) but what makes us feel better is that all profits from the sale of each box are donated to The Norfolk Hospice, a wonderful team of people who provide specialist palliative and end of life care to people living with life-shortening illnesses in the local area. Grab a special edition copy now for £29.99 - https://www.norfolkhospice.org.uk/shop/north-west-norfolk-monopoly-board .
It’s also the start of Children’s Mental Health Week, so a great time to spend a bit more time listening to our kids and being aware of how they’re feeling. If you need some inspiration or creative ideas on how they can express themselves check out the website https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk .
And don’t forget you! Your wellbeing is just as important and as carers of our kids, if you’re doing OK, so will they.
Love
